We are very happy to present our drum libraries, usable by everyone, but specially designed for the blind.


Since 2023, ReaperAccessible has been committed to creating drum libraries specifically for blind musicians using Reaper. We've integrated tools like the Behringer X-Touch Universal control surface and CSI, as well as OSARA settings, to ensure an accessible and immersive musical experience for everyone.

ReaperAccessible has two recording studios, one in Montreal, Canada, and another in Clermont-Ferrand, France. In this video, we invite you to discover our Montreal studio, where we capture the Mapex - Mars Birch Shell Pack drums Kit to create high-quality samples.

Why Choose Reaper and NVDA?

Setting Up Reaper with NVDA


To get started, it is essential to install Reaper and NVDA on your computer. Here are the key steps:

  1. Download and install Reaper from the official website.
  2. Download and install NVDA from the NV Access website.
  3. Install the OSARA (Open Source Accessibility for the REAPER Application) extension to enhance Reaper’s accessibility with NVDA.

Creating Your Podcast


Once your setup is ready, you can start creating your podcast. Here’s a quick guide:


Preparation and Recording


Use Reaper to record your audio tracks. Thanks to the OSARA extension, you can navigate Reaper using NVDA to control recordings, add markers, and manage tracks.


Editing and Arrangement


Reaper allows precise editing of your recordings. You can cut, move, and edit your audio or MIDI items. NVDA and OSARA provide spoken feedback for every action, helping you edit your tracks with accuracy.


Mixing and Effects


Apply sound effects and mix your tracks to achieve a professional sound. Reaper offers a wide range of effects and mixing tools that you can control through NVDA.


Exporting


Once your podcast is ready, you can export it in your preferred format. Reaper allows exporting audio files in different formats suitable for podcasting platforms.
