The Behringer X32 digital console is a powerful tool for musicians and sound engineers. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated developers, this console is now accessible to blind and visually impaired people, allowing them to use it effectively.

Accessibility of the Behringer X32

The Behringer X32, with its many advanced features, has become a standard in the music and audio industry. For blind users, the accessibility of this console has been greatly improved thanks to specific software solutions.

The Midas M32 and MXAccess32 Model

The M32 model from Midas is also accessible to blind people thanks to the MXAccess32 application. This application, designed to work with AOSC.exe, allows blind and visually impaired people to use the Behringer X32 and Midas M32 digital consoles.

MXAccess32 is an application composed of a group of files organized into a folder tree that is easy to navigate with screen readers. It was developed specifically for blind and visually impaired people, simplifying the functions of the X32/M32 mixers by making them accessible via screen readers such as Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) or Windows Narrator on Windows operating systems .

Development and Contributors

This innovative application was developed by Alexey, the developer of Sibiac, and Gerald Devald. Their hard work and dedication helped make these professional consoles accessible to a wider audience, allowing blind musicians and audio engineers to benefit from the same tools as their sighted counterparts.

Key Features of MXAccess32

MXAccess32 makes the functions of the X32 and M32 mixers accessible by organizing them into a series of pages in a folder tree. This organization allows for easy and intuitive navigation with screen readers. Here are some of the key features:

  • Simplified navigation through the different pages and functions of the console.
  • Compatibility with NVDA and Windows Narrator screen readers.
  • Access to key mixing functions, including level, EQ, and effects settings.
