The Behringer X32 digital console is a powerful tool for musicians and sound engineers. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated developers, this console is now accessible to blind and visually impaired users, allowing them to operate it effectively.

Accessibility of the Behringer X32

The Behringer X32, with its many advanced features, has become a standard in the music and audio industry. For blind users, the accessibility of this console has been greatly enhanced through specific software solutions.

The Midas M32 Model and MXAccess32

The M32 model from Midas is also accessible to blind users thanks to the MXAccess32 application. This application, designed to work with AOSC.exe, allows blind and visually impaired users to operate Behringer X32 and Midas M32 digital consoles.

MXAccess32 is an application organized into an easy-to-navigate tree structure compatible with screen readers. It was developed specifically for blind and visually impaired users, simplifying the functions of the X32/M32 mixers and making them accessible via screen readers such as Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) or Windows Narrator on Windows operating systems.

Development and Contributors

This innovative application was developed by Alexey Zhelezov, the developer of Sibiac, and Gerald Devald. Their hard work and dedication have made these professional consoles accessible to a wider audience, allowing blind musicians and sound engineers to use the same tools as their sighted peers.

Key Features of MXAccess32

MXAccess32 makes the functions of the X32 and M32 mixers accessible by organizing them into a series of pages within a folder tree. This structure allows easy and intuitive navigation with screen readers. Here are some key features:

  • Simplified navigation through the various pages and functions of the console.
  • Compatibility with NVDA and Windows Narrator screen readers.
  • Access to main mixing functions, including level, EQ, and effect adjustments.
