The Gretsch Broadkaster library draws its inspiration from the prestigious Broadkaster series—Gretsch’s flagship drums from the 1920s through the 1950s—now revived at the Gretsch Drum Factory in Ridgeland, South Carolina, USA. True to “That Great Gretsch Sound,” each shell is crafted using the North American maple/poplar/maple formula, with an interior half-lap scarf joint for enhanced strength. The library includes two complete kits: • Normal Kit: undamped shells for natural resonance, featuring rounded lows, warm mids, and precise highs. • Damped Kit: the same shells fitted with internal dampers for a drier, more percussive character—typical of the ‘drum damped’ sound of the 1970s. Versatile and high-performing, this pack will appeal equally to rock, funk, blues, or folk enthusiasts, as well as to professional drummers seeking an authentic, timeless instrument of unparalleled craftsmanship.
