After the
non-chromatic instruments, 8Dio offers its Aura series a bank of five
“auxiliary” chromatic percussions for Kontakt.
Aura Tonal
Exotic Studio Percussion reproduces in the full version of Kontakt 5.5 and
following the sound of five “exotic” chromatic percussions, respectively
aluphone, caisa drum, scaffaphone, sixxen and tubaphone, played with mallets,
sticks and brushes and recorded with three microphone positions (Close, Mid and
Room). Everything was then sampled using the Groove Sampling technique
developed and patented by 8Dio so that you can easily create percussive grooves
with the press of a key on your MIDI keyboard. Groove Samples can be controlled
via the Mod Wheel or the new Mod-Sequencer.

Kontakt gives you access to setting mic positions, instrument panning, their

push the boundaries of ensemble percussion sampling, we traveled to Latin
America to sample an outstanding Batucada ensemble. The "Legion Series 33
Drummers" is not only made up of a massive ensemble of 33 drummers playing
in unison, but also the ensemble divided into sections, totaling 88 drummers. 5
Timbas, 9 Tamborims, 6 Guaches, 11 Chocalhos, 12 Caixas (traps), 12 Repiniques,
12 Surdos (4 Bass Players, 4 Mid Players and 4 High Players), 11 Dobras and 10
Cowbells were sampled in independent sections as well only two solos, making
this library the most in-depth dedicated Batucada library you'll ever need.
La Batucada is a Brazilian
group composed exclusively of percussion instruments, traditionally accompanied
by a parade of costumed dancers and floats in Brazilian carnivals. The sound of
a Batucada is incredibly powerful and could give even the loudest rock bands a
hard time. The discipline required to organize and maintain this strict and
flawless drumming style is astounding and it was an absolute joy to work with
these drumming experts.

Everything was recorded in
pristine 24-bit using some of the best preamps and recording devices around.
The library is also
available in a very intuitive and playable user interface (UI). The user
interface allows you to freely switch between joints without loading additional
patches. We created additional controls like Amp Env, Pitch Env and the ability
to rhythmically pulse between joints. We've also added new Front-Faced effects,
including various filter options, BPM-synchronized gate, Stereo-Delays,
Compression, Textural Convolutions, Experimental Convolutions and a large
number of custom reverb pulses from our private catalog of samples.

Layered True Legato
LIBERIS contains a
wonderful in-depth selection of real layered legato substrates, which are
completely smooth and realistic. Layered legato means that different types of
legatos are triggered depending on how hard you play the keys. The softer you
play - the more slut and portamento like legato becomes. The firmer you play -
the faster legatos react to your playing styles. Layered legatos come in three
main articulation groups: "Ah", "Mmmm" and "Oh"
and with each of them with dynamic dynamics controls.
LIBERIS also contains
three exclusive groups of true legato portamento articulation which include:
“Ah”, Mmmm” and “Oh”. combination, you can create completely realistic choral
pieces.
Liberis Soloists
The LIBERIS choir includes
3 different solo singers, including 1 boy soloist and 2 soloists. All soloists
have identical articulations, so you can create advanced pieces by using them
together. Articulations include a set of 18 deep samples and 22 different
multi-vowels. Additionally, the 3rd soloist also has real legato and portamento
articulations for added realism.

and with a more deliberate and planned force in them, they include 6 different

Choral effects
LIBERIS contains the most
comprehensive effects section. Choral effects let you do amazing things with
the choir, including assorted body percussion (breath sounds, chirps,
consonants with quick select option, doppler, percussion, children's songs,
swoops, swoops, moods etc). The idea is to give you a great selection of
effects that should be used with the other parts of the library. Whether adding
breath sounds for naturalism or inserting consonants with other phrases to
create new words.
Chaos FX
LIBERIS also includes our
Deep Chaos effects.
We've included Phaser and
Flangers, Three Band EQ, Bit-Crusher and Distortion. Stereo-Delay makes two
parallel delays. Two types of convolution reverb. Including a large collection
of custom reverb pulses and more experimental convolutions. The Chaos Effects

Majestica is a 23.5 GB
bank comprising 21,771 orchestral sound samples in 24 bits / 96 kHz derived from
the publisher's V8P catalog. 8Dio has recorded full sets of percussion,
strings, brass and woodwinds as well as effects. The whole thing was captured
with 3 positions of Mixed, Decca and Far pickups. Behind Majestica, regulars at
8Dio banks will find two well-known names, respectively Troels Folmann and
Colin O'Maley. and the recordings took place in the same orchestral concert
hall as for the V8P, Cage and Age series.

presents 100 strings with 20 violins, 20 violas, 30 cellos and 30 basses; 60

While the sound banks of
American and Japanese concert pianos from the brands Steinway & Sons and
Yamaha are multiplying, there are relatively few European-made pianos in
sampled instruments, whereas it is in France and Germany that at the half of
the 19th century, appeared the first pianos of modern construction, and in
particular those of Pleyel and Carl Bechstein.
C.Bechstein, a name
entered into legend. An instrument elevated to the rank of a work of art by the
greatest artists of all time. Bechstein, the instrument of Queen Victoria and
the official supplier of the British crown, the piano of the last Tsars of
Russia but also the choice of legendary artists such as Franz Liszt, Hans von
Bülow, Pablo de Sarasate, Alexander Scriabin, Serge Rachmaninov, Richard
Strauss, Claude Debussy, Wilhelm Kempf, Sviatoslav Richter, Arthur Schnabel,
Jorge Bolet, Duke Ellington, Freddie Mercury, The Beatles, Bod Dylan or Elton
John among many others. After the fall of the Berlin wall and German
reunification, Bechstein is taking up the challenge of equaling the quality of
the Steinways & Sons, of overtaking the Yamahas (in Japan, more and more
classical pianists are switching to Bechstein) and perhaps even to constantly
seduce new pianists, who, after having tried a Bechstein, find in it more
warmth and possibilities than in a Steinway, yet the market leader.
The C. Bechstein Digital
Grand was developed to meet the high expectations of composers and musicians,
as well as the detailed demands of high-level everyday recording. The model
sampled for Kontakt v5.68 and up, is C. Bechstein's top of the line D282, with
an average value of $142,000. This heir to the fortepianos has a sound that is
both warm and melodious, strong and clear, offering great pianists a very great
ability to play, to the point that it is today one of the 5 best pianos on the
market and interest more and more musicians. With a European sound and a
construction tradition that combines German craftsmanship with the secrets of
Frenchman Sébastien Erard, the inventor of the key repeating system (known as
the double escapement system), secrets presumably transmitted in Paris to Carl
Bechstein by the son of 'Erard, this piano makes it possible to combine the
extreme demands of the Romantic period with the sonic simplicity of the Baroque
period. Widely used in classical music, and increasingly in jazz and modern
music, this piano takes its place in the digital audio world with this sound
bank for demanding musicians.
The double escapement
system makes it possible to repeatedly play a key when it has not yet returned
to its fully released position. This is where Bechstein pianos make the
difference, in the ability to adapt to the very complex playing of pianists of
the Romantic period, who played in a way that was both very expressive and very
sporty. Isn't it Franz List, who, in the ardor of his youth, broke 3 to 4
hammers per concert, before new, more solid pianos appeared from 1855,
including the Bechstein? Obviously, in the digital world, this problem no
longer exists and it is difficult to have with virtual instruments the same
sensations as on an acoustic piano.
With 26 velocity layers,
the sounds, constituting more than 10,000 samples, can be adjusted very
precisely through the graphical interface. The samples were made by the Teldex
studio in Berlin, in 24 bits / 192 kHz using a Mid / Side separation thanks to
the precise positioning of 6 microphones. The sound of a piano string is
influenced by many parameters. With the acoustic instrument, the tuner ensures
that certain areas of the grand piano sound warmer, more percussive, lively or
on the contrary more contained, a struck string causing the resonance of other
strings. The Digital Grand comes with 12 presets: Enjoy Digital Grand,
Classical (Near), Classical (Far), Warm Chords, Grand Pop, 80ies Rock, Distant
Melodies, Eco (CPU eco mode), Ultra Eco (same), Aura Borealis , Too old to
move, Too much of everything. There are added 7 utilities.
With version 1.2, C.
Bechstein presents the second major update of the Digital Grand on PC and Mac.
The updated sample library, developed with great attention to detail, offers
new tonal possibilities and also brings improvements in half-pedal playing.
This version brings some corrections and new features:
Correction:
• The sound of the pedal
when releasing the sustain pedal (CC64) will only be heard when the pedal is
fully released.
• An error using the
Sustenuto pedal (CC66) has been corrected.
• Fixed Kontakt v6 closing
error after using the Digital Grand (Kontakt crash on Windows)
New and optimizations:
• New TOP and SIDE
instruments with adjusted Sampling Start Points (SP). With these instruments,
the starting points of all samples have been shifted in order to improve the
touch behavior during playback. The resulting phase shift also allows for tonal
alternatives when combining instruments (e.g. with multis).
• 10 new MULTIS give an
idea of the sonic possibilities resulting from the combination
of different microphone signals. MULTIS marked SP (Starting Point) uses the new
instruments adapted to the starting point.
• When playing with
sympathetic resonances, chords can now also resonate. With the multiple
STRING-EQ and SYMPATHETIC settings, you can switch between the two modes of
operation. Use monophonic resonances to save resources or set the volume to
zero to not use the function at all.
• The sound of sympathetic
resonances has been improved.
• A Silent Key function
has been added: when MIDI notes with a velocity of 1 arrive, only key noises
are heard (if active under DETAILS).
• Improvements have been
made for playing with the half-pedal position. The end of the notes is now
extended according to the threshold and starts at around 2/3 of the set value.
Instruments in v1.1.0 can
be found in the Legacy subdirectory and are compatible with versions of Kontakt
prior to v5.8.2
In the Berchstein Digital
Grand, an interface containing 4 basic parameters (BASE, PARTIALS, BODY and
MELLOW) and a general STRING-EQ which can mix the 4 or not, allows a very fine
adjustment of the sound. Fully closed, STRING-EQ will only play the sound of a
single string in mono mode. But by opening it gradually, we can bring out the
vibration of the other strings as well as a stereophonic spatialization.

BODY: adds sustain or
shortens the note
MELLOW: deals with
transients and softens the sound and makes it more mellow (mellow)
Each of the series can be
fine-tuned with the mouse, according to the notes of the keyboard, bringing the
equalization and the leveling of the presence of each note of the keyboard.

these parameters offer beginners and experienced sound designers an Eldorado of
possibilities!
An Audio-Design module
allows you to adjust the dynamics of the sound between Mid and Side. The C.
Bechstein Digital Grand offers sound engineers and sound designers a method of
choice for reproducing different acoustic timbres. Each channel is individually
controllable within the plug-in with volume, compression and EQ. A "Magic
Eye" adjustable with the mouse, serves as a control of the clarity of the
sound from Warm to Bright, depending on the color. The Mid/Side potentiometer
allows you to fine tune the sound between all mono on the left, and the opening
towards stereo on the right. Compression and EQ settings exist for each Mid and
Side channel.
A setting called AURA
allows you to add a Close or Direct type stereo sound in phase with the Mid and
Side channels. The LID adjustment allows the opening of the lid to be adjusted
from 0° to 40°. Finally, a STAGE setting allows you to set the reverberation
and the type of environment.
If you have a tripe pedal,
then you will see on the screen the set of pedals that you can adjust.
•Right pedal: called
damper or wrongly sustain pedal. By pressing this pedal, all the dampers of all
the strings are raised. The notes continue to sound, even after releasing the
keys. Unstruck strings can resonate.
•Left pedal: Called mute
or sordino or even Una Corda, this pedal causes a mechanical shift to the right
of the hammer system. As each key on the keyboard normally activates 2 strings
for the bass and 3 strings for the mids and highs, by shifting slightly to the
right, only one string is struck in the lows and two strings out of 3 in the
mids and highs, resulting in less loud sound.
•Middle pedal: real
support pedal (sustain) which keeps the hammers raised, when this pedal is
pressed, only for the notes played, but not the others. Thus, the harmonics are
reduced to the only notes played and not to the resonances of the other strings
which remain muffled.
This description only
applies to the Bechstein D282 and not to other pianos which may adopt other
techniques.
The play of the pedals
requires the installation of a triple Midi pedal and to fully benefit from the
functionalities of C. Bechstein Digital Grand, a midi keyboard compatible with
a triple pedalboard is recommended.
Finally, in a DETAILS
screen, you can find the settings of the velocity curve with a dynamic
expression knob. This is to adapt the sound between seasoned pianists who
generally play louder than beginners. 4 settings at the top of the screen allow
you to adjust the sounds of:
•KEYS: key sound
•DAMPERS: strength of the
shock absorbers (dampers)
•PEDALS: adjusting the
action of the pedals
•STRING RELEASES: key
release setting
Finally 3 potentiometers
allow to adjust the depth and the color of the resonance as well as the volume
(intensity) of the SYMPATHETIC mode (mode which allows to highlight the
harmonics of a note held down with the left hand, in "sympathy" with
the notes played with the right hand.) This SYMPATHETIC mode is a trick for
experienced pianists and is only possible in this digital version, because no
acoustic piano can achieve this.
Bechstein-Digital has
released a slimmed down version of this bank under the designation
"Digital Grand Essential".

instruments (white light on), especially for multis whose loading time can

Pattern Strings offers a
unique take on ostinatos by providing a collection of tempo-synced rhythmic
fragments.
These 19 rhythms were
recorded at two dynamic layers on violin, viola, cello and bass, with 4 round
robins.
The interface uses an
intuitive drag-and-drop mechanism that lets you organize beats into sequences
where all the beats flow together with natural phrasing and musicality.
You can drag and drop the
rhythms in the center to either pattern strip. If you want to change the order
of the rhythms, you can also do this by dragging them.
When Legato is on, new
notes are synchronized with previously held notes. In this way, it is possible
to create convincing lines by changing the notes according to the rhythms, as
can be seen in the demos.
Pattern Strings has an
automatic bow direction feature. It plays downbow samples on the low beats and
upbow samples on the upbeats, creating a natural ebb and flow between the
beats.
The Tempo Sync switch lets
you set sample playback at half or double the speed.
Some of the samples were
recorded at 90bpm, and others at 80bpm. So let's say you're working out at
160bpm. This would mean that 90bpm samples would be time-stretched at twice
their original speed! To compensate for this, you can use the Tempo Sync option
to set the speed to half the initial speed.
All instrument
combinations have been rendered, both single and with stereo dubbing. It is
thus possible to overlay instruments without needing a lot of memory and
computing power.
As Pattern Strings
contains 8.32 GB of samples, the interface has been designed with a dynamic
loading system in order to only load what you need. In order to make the
interface more efficient, the instrument combinations have been rendered
together, which saves on the number of voices and memory. Thus, if all
instruments are enabled, the interface will use the same amount of memory and
CPU as if only one instrument was enabled.
Enhance the sound of an
instrument by enabling doubling. Stereo-dubbed samples have been rendered
lower, so enabling it will not increase the number of voices or memory needed.
Say you're using Pattern
Strings on a track, and you have a few different variations to use in different
places on the track. Rather than opening multiple instances, you can save
variations to Custom Keyswitches.
Simply click on
"Map", then on one of the colored keys at the very bottom of the
keyboard, and voila, the current pattern can now be recalled by that key!
Generate a sequence of
rhythms using the "Random" button, and maybe you'll find something
useful.

Emotional Cello, unlike
other soundbanks developed by Best Service, is intended for use in Kontakt 5
(versions 5.5.2 minimum). The collection was designed in partnership with
Harmonic Subtones and is aimed at composers who wish to bring emotion to their
sound creations, whether it is film scores, classical music, pop, etc.
To create the bank, the
team recorded the instrument at Studio Mastermix in Germany with two Neumann
KM184 and U47 microphones in the proximity position. The result is a sample
bank with a wide variety of unusual articulations and techniques, including sul
ponticello, legato flageolet, morbid sustain, ricochet, spilegno, rota
spiccato, plectrum pizzicato, and Renaissance sounds. Harmonic Subtones has
also developed so-called smart scripts to achieve 16 playing styles and true
legato.
Custom interface for
Kontakt includes convolution reverb, overdrive, EQ, room and timbre settings,
and 50 patches, each with unique articulation and up to 8 round robins, will
save you from playing keyswitches .
Traditionally, sampled
solo sounds were somewhat masked amidst a multitude of reverbs and other
instruments. Because when it comes to the creation of a solo, there was always
a reason for the production to fall through. With Emotional Cello, you don't
have this problem! It has so many articulations and round robins (repeated
recording of the same note) that it's hard to choose.
According to the
designers, this collection is capable of reproducing 90% of the sounds produced
during the career of a classical or modern style cellist. It's a great promise!
It seems that this promise is kept. Indeed, when you close your eyes, you
easily imagine the cellist in action. The content of the Emotional Cello
software is extremely varied. It not only has the standard articulations (such
as legato, spiccato and pizzicato), but also more complex variations and for

custom reverb. To facilitate the use of the instrument, a convolution reverb is
integrated.
Emotional Violin offers
three patches of True Legato, including the "Romantic Violin" and the
"Intimate Violin", which between them contain 80all the
articulations, which logically overlap to perfect the sonorities. If, for
example, a first note is played without legato, it will be isolated without
legato. As soon as a sound is played with legato or sustain, a note in the same
context will be triggered to perfect the continuity.

CineSamples takes you back
to 90s movies with its new bank of trumpets for Kontakt 90’s Retro Trumpets.
The story that led to 90's
Retro Trumpets is quite original. The CineSamples team were making takes at the
MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Picture Studios in Los Angeles last year when they
came across directions for the orchestra's recording sessions for Jurassic Park
(the first). The idea therefore came to reproduce this sound by following these
instructions and with the help of the people from Sony Scoring who were present
at the time.
Direction the studios with
a set of four veteran trumpeters with the instruments and playing techniques of
the time, To perform the takes, CineSamples used the same three Neumann M50
microphones modified in Decca Tree configuration, patched the preamp parameters
to the same models always present in the studio, applied Lexicon 480 reverb and
Avalon 2055 EQ also available. The result of all this is a sound that is less
metallic, simpler and softer than modern recorded trumpets.
90's Retro Trumpets thus
includes 12 patches, the interface for Kontakt also allows you to access the
six keyswitches, the dynamics (to be managed with the modulation wheel), the
vibrato, the velocity, the legato, the mute of the trumpets and three effects:
tape saturation, EQ and reverb. You can also extend the note range of the
trumpets beyond what was recorded if you need to.

made in London by Piano Works in the 1930s and used in particular on Beatles
albums, with a sound described as soft.
The team produced two
patches, one with the usual sound and the other, called Challen Tack, with the
sound of the piano whose Tack mechanism has been activated, which lowers brass
tongues between the hammers and the strings .
Mrs Mills, a 1905 Steinway
Vertegrand modified by the Abbey Road crew in the late 1950s to lacquer the
felts of the hammers to make them harder and create a brighter sound with more
percussiveness (you can heard in particular on Penny Lane or With a Little Help
from my Friends.This piano is slightly out of tune, as requested by Stuart
Eltham.
The pianos were recorded
in Studio 2.

new articulations.
Tina Guo Volume 2
completes the Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato bank by providing additional
articulations, including spiccato, marcato, sul ponticello, vibrato pizzicato
and harmonics. This new edition should also facilitate your melodic passages by
offering more agility, faster playing with less vibrato.
To produce this new
volume, Tina Guo used the same cello and the teams worked at the MGM Scoring
Stage in Los Angeles using the same microphones and the same mixing as for the
original collection.
The graphic interface in
Kontakt and the Kontakt Player allows you to adjust the legato speed, the
volume of the release, the reverb, to vary the movements of the bow and even to
bring a little surprise in the reading thanks to a function of randomization.
The modulation wheel will finally be used to control the overall dynamics and
know that the instrument is NKS compatible.
Tina Guo vol. 2 is a
valuable expansion of the original Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato library that

How is Tina Guo vol 2
different from Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato?
The main difference is the
playing style. Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato is characterized by a romantic
and expressive playing style that lends itself well to longer melodic lines.
Tina Guo vol 2 allows for an agile and more connected style of play. Also,
faster playing naturally allows less time for vibrato on passing notes. Volume
2 also features other articulations that are not available in the original
library (see below).
Otherwise, Tina played the
same instrument at the MGM Scoring Stage in Los Angeles, recorded with the same
microphones as the original library. Tim Starnes recreated the same mix as the
original library as well as the desktop mix from the Scoring Stage.

Selecting this option adds
a staccato attack overlay to the beginnings of the sustains. Its volume depends
on the speed. They appear at higher speeds. Support attack is also speed
sensitive.
• Legato
Selecting this option
enables monophonic harmonization with recorded legato transitions. Unselected
allows polyphonic sustain samples only. Legato transitions are velocity
sensitive.
• ∞ Bow
Unselected, this includes
Tina's natural bow changes on sustained notes. Selected, it allows you to
lengthen the arc length as needed. Just re-attack a note when you need a change
of bow on the same note.
• Volume of releases
This controls the volume
of released notes. If set too high, it will sound like it has too much reverb
and decay. Too low a setting will make legato transitions sound unnatural.
• Legato Speed (CC02)
Higher settings allow for
faster reading. Lower settings allow for slower playback and will reveal more
of the recorded legato transition.

CineHarps includes the
addition of a new perspective mode. When Perspective mode is enabled, a slider

Gliss mode transposes all
white keys according to the selected notes and pedal diagram. This makes it
easy to play glissandi on the white keys. When the Gliss Mode button is active,
note attacks in faster phrases are slightly attenuated. The faster you play,
the softer the attack.
Tip: By activating Gliss
mode and leaving the pedals in C major, you can play chromatically, but you can
also soften the attack of each note in the faster phrases, which makes it

harpsichord from 1624 at the MGM Scoring Stage. They then made the virtual
instrument for Kontakt and the Kontakt Player, which has four stops and three
patches very different characters.
The first patch, 01
CineHarpsichord, includes Full, Close, Room and Surround mic mixes as well as
various presets, including a custom mix that you can save. The close mics have
been delayed to align the signals to those in the room and surround positions.

North is a new collection for Kontakt and the Kontakt Player made at the MGM
Scoring Stage in Los Angeles. CineSamples has therefore enlisted the services
of a linguist in Old Scandinavian, the language spoken by the Vikings, in order
to obtain sentences which, as is often the case, do not resemble the false
Latin used by many voice banks. The vocabulary used here is mainly borrowed from
the fields of war, nature and divinities.
Men of the North is based
on a baritone choir but whose range is wide enough to go from almost overtone
singing (Tuva) to falsetto. The singers were arranged in a semi-circle around a
Neumann KU100 dummy head which was used for recording.
The collection includes
mono "Oo", "Ah" in legato and sustain, vowel
"morphs", whispered words, roars, fourths, fifths, unison legato
incantations... A builder is also included to build phrases, and depending on
the patches, available mixes (Tight, Dragonborne, Head and Full Spectrum) and
settings, you can also generate drones and sound layers. CineSamples also
invites you to use the wheels of your keyboard.

The Loft Piano is an
exquisitely sampled upright piano. Sampled in, you guessed it, a loft. It's a
perfect Kontakt piano for a wide range of genres. We love using it for bedroom

We wanted to create a
piano that was both characterful and studio-like. Most piano plugins or Kontakt

Character pianos often

REAL-TIME ORCHESTRATOR
(RTO)
A revolutionary device
allowing polyphonic and polyrhythmic legato on a mixed section of instruments.
Thanks to the RTO, you can play an entire section of the keyboard, and the
notes you play are orchestrated in real time and distributed to the various
instruments of the multi RTO, according to orchestration schemes that you can
create yourself. It is an extremely powerful and easy to use system. Ideal for
live shows, as well as tracking under tight deadlines. It also offers
articulation presets that can replace the built-in button switch with other
midi triggers such as footswitches, freeing up your left hand to play notes
rather than button switches.
UNISON DIVISION
From now on, you can use
any of the Broadway Lites instruments multiple times in the arrangement or in a
multi, even in unison, creating a realistic multi-instrument section. This
means that even with multiple instances of a single instrument, you can still
get a realistic section of multiple instruments playing in unison. This isn't
some sort of doubling effect, but rather using different samples and light
tweaks to ensure that each instance of the instrument sounds a bit different
from the next. The results are very realistic. The feature also includes
"Humanize" and "Detune" buttons for greater control over
the sound of the section.
SCORING SOFTWARE SUPPORT
With version 2.0,
"Notation mode" was added to all Broadway Lites instruments, to allow
notation programs to communicate with Broadway Lites and use it for reading
sheet music, including all included articulations and dynamics. The new
Notation mode also allows integration with Cubase Expression cards. This was
previously not possible due to Broadway Lites unique articulation switching
system. The new Notation mode uses an alternate keyed swapping system that is
more in line with the way notation programs work. (Full documentation in the
user manual).
SPEED CURVE CONTROL
Due to the extended
dynamic range of the instruments included in the Broadway Lites, it is
sometimes difficult to maintain control over the dynamics when using velocity
from a MIDI keyboard. To help overcome this issue, we've added a new knob to
control the velocity curve, which allows you to adjust the responsiveness of
Broadway Lites instruments to different MIDI keyboards. The new Velocity Curve
Control feature can also be automated over MIDI to make changes in a song if
needed.

Recorded at legendary Skywalker Sound, FORZO is the product of Heavyocity's
world-class sound design team, in collaboration with award-winning composer
Jason Graves and Hollywood sound engineer Satoshi Mark Noguchi. This dream team
entered the hallowed halls of Skywalker with one goal in mind: to create a new
benchmark for orchestral brass.
To bring this monster to
life, FORZO first assembled an epic ensemble of world-class horns. The 12
horns, four trumpets, eight trombones (tenor, bass and double bass) and two
tubas deliver 25 GB of pure copper power straight into the hands of the
cinematic composer. Creative articulations like Cluster Bends and Random
Flutters give muscular sections in a very unique way. And if you really want to
master those explosive Brass VIs, the FORZO Full Ensemble NKI puts the entire

guitars, one acoustic and one electric passed through a DI, as well as a rhythm
acoustic guitar.
Impact Soundworks has
captured different playing techniques, including sustains, hammer ons, pull
offs, slides, harmonics, but also release sounds, slides, “dirty notes” or even
fret, finger and of strings.
The rhythm part offers 12
types of chords in the 12 tones with 7 types of strumming, the noises are
automatically triggered in order to bring realism and you can control the

Shreddage 3 Precision was

planning the perfect instrument and recording setup: bassist Tony Dickinson
(Trans-Siberian Orchestra) performed all the samples using a high-pitched
5-string American p-bass. level, flat-stringed for beautiful, detailed sound. A
fully analog UA|610 DI was used to enhance the warmth and fullness of each
note.
For basic playing
techniques, we captured fingering, hand and slap games with lots of dynamics

And to inaugurate this
brand new sound engine for Kontakt, Impact Soundworks chose a Fender
Stratocaster.
Impact Soundworks to
launch Shreddage 3 Stratus, a new electric guitar sample bank for Kontakt
featuring the next generation of the in-house Shreddage engine.
The Shreddage 3 engine will
be applied to guitars and basses, starting with a Stratocaster guitar.
The Shreddage 3 engine has
been completely recoded in order to exploit all the tools available in version
5.7 of Kontakt (Kontakt 6 has just been released, it will certainly be necessary
to wait for an update or the following banks to exploit the new Native effects
in particular) .
The novelties include the
improvement of the "virtual hand" which manages the position of the
fingers, with the possibility of automating the choice of the string and the
fret to be played.
New "fretting"
algorithms and the possibility of setting the range of frets will make it
possible to adapt the playing, and therefore the sound and the realism, to the
different styles.
Impact Soundworks has also
listened to users and simplified chord playing with a new Strumming engine: the
low notes of the keyboard are reserved for configuring the chord and the high
notes for triggering the strum, with the addition of a "Partial
Strums" function. " which allows not to strum all the strings, or the
possibility of choosing single notes in the chord.
Another big chunk of this
new generation, a Console makes an appearance so you can mix all four
channels/mix mics; There are 8 inserts per channel, eight send channels and a
modular effects rack with 30 effects (amps and pedals, EQs, modulation,
dynamics processing).
The section dedicated to
virtual cabinets is also getting a makeover and will offer new impulse
responses from 8 cabinets (Mesa/Boogie, Marshall, Fender, Vox, etc.) captured
with at least two microphones (dynamic and condenser) and two positions (full
axis and off-axis). IRs from Shreddage 2 will also be included.
To finish with the new
features, a preset manager will allow you to use settings in other Shreddage 3
banks.

Indian flute called Bansuri.
To make Bansuri, the
Impact Soundworks team recorded more than 4,500 sound samples of this ethnic
flute, in 24-bit, with ribbon microphones and ambient microphones. You are
entitled to seven types of sustained articulations (sustains), adjustable true
legato and portamento, three different ornaments for release, staccato, bends
and vibrato, in short, the capabilities are numerous. Especially since Impact
Soundworks has also integrated its TACT engine (Total Articulation Control
Technology) to allow you to customize all playing techniques, nearly 350 phrases

American Flutes to its collection of Ventus Ethnic Winds wind instrument
soundbanks. In it, find 3 traditional Native American flutes: the Red Tail
Hawk, the Pocket Cedar and the Contra Bass. This instrument for Kontakt embeds
the developer's latest scripting engine, Agility, which facilitates programming
via a MIDI controller or the piano roll. Melodic loops are provided,
categorized in a library of presets. The sound bank offers two microphone

brass instruments from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the
20th.
The idea of Blue Street Brass is to offer a collection of old
brass that allows you to recreate the music of the 1930s and 1940s with a touch
of film noir atmosphere. You will find various trumpets, cornets, high and low

A musical journey through
the history of Trinidad and Tobago´s
In the aftermath of the
abolition of slavery in the Caribbean, indentured laborers from the East Indies
arrived with another culture in the melting pot of the West Indies. The most
important element they brought with them was their musical identity. East
Indian indentured laborers came mainly from the Hindu belt to cultivate the sugar
plantations, mainly in Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname and Guyana.
This sample library
includes the two major musical subgenres that emerged in the history of West
Indian Creole musical innovations, both the result of the presence of East
Indian immigrants in the Caribbean.
Chutney music evolved from
Bhojpuri folk music. The main instruments used are the harmonium, the dhantal
and the dholak. This traditional Chutney is the original and organic form of
expression of the Indian diaspora in the Caribbean. Chutney's melodies and
beats have evolved over the years to accommodate changing technology and tastes
while evolving with advancements in the carnival industry, giving rise to the
crossover genre of Chutney-Soca. However, Chutney still retains the frenetic
rhythms of the dholak, the melodic passages and soothing hums of the harmonium
as well as the traditional melodies and arrangements. At your fingertips is a
library of authentic dholak, dhantal, and harmonium samples and loops. Vocal
samples of ad-libs and popular expressions are also included to help you bring
that instant cachet to your productions.
Tassa drums evolved from
the Plains of North and Central India. The main instruments used are the Dhol
or bass drum, the Caribbean equivalent of the nagara known as the kutter drum,
and the Jhanj cymbal. Tassa's infectious beat has become synonymous with
partying in the Twin Islands Republic. The thundering bass accompanied by the
piercing kutter awakens the body to put itself at its service. The Tassa is the
mainstay of all traditional Indian weddings and festivities. It now adapts
perfectly to any audio production. Its contagious effect can be applied to all
percussive sets and ideas.
